On May 8th, the "Oriental Silk Road", "Zhongwei-Xi'an-Shanghai" route was officially launched, indicating a new development after adjustments for improvement and optimization of route network.
Airbus A320 of Juneyao Airlines will provide service with four flights a week on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flights departure at 8:50 from Shanghai to Xi'an at 11:25, departure at 12:25 from Xi'an to Zhongwei at 13:15, take-off at 13:55 from Zhongwei to Xi'an at 14:50, and take-off at 16:15 from to Shanghai at 18:15.
Launching this route will be more convenient for exchanges between Eastern China and Zhongwei as well as Zhongwei and surrounding areas, thus boosting the development of tourism in Zhongwei. Meanwhile, it's a breakthrough of aviation development after active coordination with the local government as well as thorough analysis of existing market features, resources, and development bottlenecks.
